Jupiter has named Stephen Mitchell as new head of strategy for global equities effective next year to expand the firm’s international equities offering.
In the newly created role, Mitchell will be responsible for developing the firm’s global equity business for institutional and retail investors in the UK and global markets.
Mitchell joined Jupiter from Caledonia Investments where served as associate director and head of its income and growth strategy since 2011.
Prior to this, he worked at Fleming & Co and JPMorgan Asset Management.
Stephen Pearson, head of investment at Jupiter, said: "With Stephen’s hire we will bring together our global equity capability under a single head to coordinate our efforts. This will enable us to broaden and strengthen our product range in the future."
