British investment manager Hargreaves Lansdown has appointed Chris Hill as its new CEO and Philip Johnson as its new CFO.

Hill, currently the company’s deputy CEO and CFO, will replace Ian Gorham who is set to step down from his role at around 8 February after the company issues its interim results.

Johnson, who will replace Hill as CFO, most recently served as CFO at Jupiter Fund Management. He will take over the new role on 20 February.

Hargreaves Lansdown chairman Mike Evans said: "After a thorough search and assessment process we are delighted to welcome Philip as the group's CFO. He has a highly relevant financial services background and will bring new skills and expertise to the board and leadership team.

“Ian has done a fantastic job in leading Hargreaves Lansdown to its current position and we are delighted to confirm the appointment of Chris as CEO to lead the company as we execute the next phase of our growth strategy.”
