Guernsey has signed two more bilateral Double Taxation Arrangements (DTAs) with Mauritius and the Seychelles.

The agreement has been signed by Guernsey’s treasury and resources minister, Gavin St Pier, with Seychelles high commissioner Marie-Pierre Lloyd in London on 27 January 2014.

Commenting on the agreement, Pier said: "Since 2011, Guernsey has worked closely with member states of the Southern African Development Community to support those countries’ ability to protect their tax revenue.

"These two DTAs are further illustration of that work, which is in line with the development aims of many organizations, not least the G8 and the OECD."

The second agreement has been signed by Guernsey’s commerce and employment minister, Kevin Stewart, Mauritius high commissioner Kundasamy on 17 December 2014 in London.

Stewart added: "Our links with countries such as Mauritius and the Seychelles are important. Not only do they have growing finance centres, but also island jurisdictions with whom we share many challenges, and can exchange expertise.
