Gen II Fund Services, a New York-based independent private equity fund administrator, has established a new office in Boston.

The Boston office is the firm’s third client service centre, following New York and San Francisco locations.

Commenting on the development, Gen II managing principal Norman Leben said: “This expansion represents a vital part of our strategic plan to thoughtfully build out our servicing capabilities throughout key markets across the United States.”

Leben called the new office launch a “significant milestone” for the firm.

Gen II named former State Street executive Shaun Buckley as the managing director for its new office.

At State Street, Buckley managed private equity fund administration and reporting for institutional clients.

Gen II managing principal Steven Millner said: “We are dedicated to consistent, long-term investment in our people, processes and technology.  The addition of Shaun and a growing team of highly qualified and experienced professionals in our Boston, New York and San Francisco offices underscores this commitment.”
