Russia-based Gazprombank Asset Management has named Igor Kan as the new vice-president and head of structured products portfolio management and trading.

In his new role, Kan will further develop the firm’s product strategy and line-up.

In addition, he will also lead the firm’s fast growing structured products asset management business for both corporate and institutional investors and HNW clients.

Before joining Gazprombank, Kan worked for Russian Regional Development Bank, a subsidiary of Rosneft, as an advisor to the president.

Previously, he also worked at CitiGroup as a managing director and general director of citigroup global markets.

Kan began his career as a trader at ING Barings, Moscow and London in 1994. He also worked at Morgan Stanley, London as a managing director and then became the deputy chairman at Morgan Stanley Moscow Bank.
