F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company has acquired Atrato Advisors, an alternative investment research and advisory firm, for an undisclosed amount.

Co-founded by Brian Reich and Janna Sobolev, Atrato Advisors specilises in sourcing, investment manager research, and portfolio advisory services.

Its customers include single and multi-family offices, endowments, foundations, and independent wealth management firms.

The firm is based in New York, with staff in Los Angeles and Florida.

The deal adds a full-service consulting offering within F.L.Putnam, bringing together the firm’s existing capabilities in traditional and impact investments with Atrato’s expertise in alternative strategies.

The combined practice will operate as Atrato Consulting and will be led by Brian Reich, Janna Sobolev and Michael Boensch.

It will provide customised investment consulting solutions to F.L.Putnam’s high-net-worth and institutional clients.
