David Barrett Partners, an executive search firm specializing in investment and wealth management, has appointed John Knapp as new partner in its New York office.
In his new role, Knapp will work closely with the existing DBP team to build the firm’s recruiting presence in the US and international asset and wealth management units.
Additionally, Knapp will split his time between New York and Boston in the current role.
Prior to joining David Barrett, Knapp, with over 20 years of financial services experience, most recently worked at Egon Zehnder’s Boston office as head of their asset management search practice for the US and a member of their global board and financial officers practice groups.
Earlier to this, he has spent six years with Fidelity Investments, most recently as vice president for institutional wealth services, where he was responsible for product development, management and marketing of Institutional Wealth solutions for Fidelity’s registered investment advisor business.
Previously, he has also worked for eleven years at Andersen Consulting and Accenture. David Barrett founding partner said: "John’s global experience will complement our US and UK practices. Culturally and professionally, we could not imagine a better fit to our ten-person recruiting team."
