The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve exchange of regulatory information and technical expertise.

Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out investigations of potential violations of securities market regulations, as well as cooperate to maintain the integrity of the markets and protect investors’ interests.

At the same time, the regulators will also collaborate to support the development of the securities market in the two jurisdictions.

“The signing of the MoU will further enhance the cooperation between the two supervisory Authorities,” the watchdogs said in a statement.

The agreement also aims to strengthen business ties between the two jurisdictions, with an aim to particularly support the national securities markets in these countries.
