Hamilton Lane, a US-based alternative investment management firm, has expanded into Australia by setting up a new office in Sydney.
The newly launched office will be led by James Martin, who will be responsible for the firm’s client base in the region and will also spearhead business development efforts of the firm across Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining Hamilton Lane, Martin worked for over five years at Partners Group with responsibility for institutional sales and deal origination.
He formerly also served as an associate director of institutional business at Pinnacle Investment Management and also had a stint at Macquarie Group.
Hamilton Lane CEO Mario Giannini said: “We’ve been active in this region for nearly a decade, and are excited to be formally establishing a presence in Australia.
