Under the agreement, Carlyle and Citi have established a framework to share market intelligence and evaluate co-investment and financing opportunities.
The collaboration will leverage the capabilities of Citi’s Spread Products Investment in Technologies (SPRINT) team, a venture equity investor in fintech specialty lenders, alongside Carlyle’s investment network.
Citi Private Markets Coverage head Rajiv Amlani said: “This collaboration leverages the best of both our firms. Through the scale of our franchise, we are uniquely positioned to unlock opportunities by bringing the dynamism of innovative tech platforms to an established global leader such as Carlyle.”
Carlyle Asset-Backed Finance (Carlyle ABF), part of Carlyle’s Global Credit platform, specialises in private fixed income and asset-backed investments.
The team draws on Carlyle’s investment platform to provide tailored financing solutions for businesses, specialty finance companies, banks, asset managers, and other owners of diversified asset pools.
