Swiss asset manager Capital Dynamics has agreed to acquire all the shares of Italian alternative asset manager Advanced Capital SGR for an undisclosed amount.

Established in 2004, Advanced Capital SGR manages generalist private equity, real estate and energy fund-of-funds.

Capital Dynamics CEO Martin Hahn said: “Advanced Capital is a proven and successful asset manager in Italy and shares our culture and investment philosophy.

“Once completed, this acquisition will deliver a broader array of private markets solutions to Italian investors and further demonstrate our strategy of growth through a strong commitment to important regional markets and investors.”

The acquisition forms part of Capital Dynamics’ expansion strategy. The company noted that the deal will enable it to fulfil the requirements of Italian clients as well as help in offering a customised approach to private investment strategies across the globe.

Commenting on the transaction, Advanced Capital SGR CEO Robert Berlé said: “Capital Dynamics’ global business will complement Advanced Capital’s success in the Italian market.
