British wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has opened a new office in Cambridge to cater to the needs of clients in the area seeking financial planning and investment advice.

The new office will be headed by Heather Sonnet, a chartered financial planner who has over 10 years of experience in advising many of Cambridge’s residents.

In her new role, Sonnet will be supported by Brewins’ offices in Ipswich and London and its network of financial planners across the UK.

The firm is seeking to make further hires in due course for the Cambridge office.

This move will complement the firm’s strong regional network across the UK as well as expand its presence in the South East.

Brewin Dolphin head of financial planning Nick Fitzgerald said: "We see tremendous potential to grow our business here, providing financial planning advice to a range of people who are looking to make the most of life’s opportunities, including retirement and school fee planning, investments and estate planning.
