Bank of America Merrill Lynch has partnered with Koris International to launch a multi-asset fund, the Merrill Lynch Dynamic Capital Protection UCITS Fund on the Merrill Lynch Investment Solutions (MLIS) UCITS platform.
The fund aims at offering investors a capital-protected solution which invests across a broad range of sectors.
Additionally, the fund will offer institutional investors with a capital-protected solution that uses core-satellite investment principles within a risk control framework to generate risk premium.
MLIS will serve as investment manager of the sub-fund, while Koris will serve as investment advisor.
The fund, which will invest in developed and emerging market equities, emerging market bonds, investment grade bonds as well as high yield bonds, follows the implementation of the Solvency II Directive, which will see an increase in requirements for capital held against risk assets.
Philippe Lopategui, BofAML managing director and head of the alternative funds platform and global financing solutions, said: "They have proven over many years to be able to deliver consistent, robust and relevant investment solutions to institutional investors with grounding in highly innovative academic research on portfolio construction and risk management. We believe this dynamic allocation strategy will prove compelling to a wide range of our investor base."
