Baring Asset Management has named Véronique Fournier as new head of Switzerland and global head of private banking.

Based in the firm’s new office in Geneva, Fournier will report to Angus Woolhouse, global head of distribution alongside Oliver Morath, head of EMEA sales.

In her new role, Fournier will be responsible for leading the firm’s global private banking channel, working with colleagues across Barings’ global network.

Prior to joining Baring, Fournier has worked at Schroder Investment Management as relationship director, global financial institutions group.

Earlier to this she has served a number of senior business development roles at Morley Fund Management (now Aviva Global Investors).

Woolhouse said: "Véronique’s considerable experience and deep understanding of financial institutions will be a huge advantage to Barings as we seek to broaden and deepen our client relationships in Switzerland."
