Banca Esperia, an Italy-based private bank, has expanded its private banking team by appointing Gianluca Piacenti to its team of private bankers.

In his new role, Piacenti will oversee business development activities at national level, focusing on HNWI and entrepreneurs.

Based in Milan, he will also manage corporate finance and financial planning services.

The firm’s Milan unit is headed by Alessandro Vagnucci.

Piacenti joined Banca Esperia from UBS Italia where he has served as head of HNWI clients for Rome and the centre-south area of the country for five years.
