AXA Investment Managers has unveiled new clean share classes for its 54 offshore funds in the UK retail investment market.

The 54 funds in its AXA World Funds Range have been registered for sale in the UK and have received UK reporting fund status.

The Luxembourg-based range of 54 funds includes Nick Hayes US$224 million (£135 million) Axa WF Global Strategic Bonds, Damien Buchet’s US$949 million WF Emerging Markets Short Duration Bonds, Jonathan Baltora’s AXA WF Universal Inflation Bonds and Marc Basselier’s €174 million WF Framlington Global Convertibles.

The investors will be able to access the funds via a RDR-compliant clean share F class, which is free from commission and rebate payments.

Rob Bailey, head of UK wholesale distribution at AXA IM, said: "We’ve been working hard to make our offshore fund range more easily accessible to UK investors. AXA Investment Managers is a global asset manager offering funds across all asset classes."

"Advisers are increasingly seeking to recommend offshore funds to increase their options for clients and there is an evident trend in more offshore funds being registered for sale in the UK. I hope that platform providers note this growing trend and consider including more offshore funds in their intermediary offering, to ensure an equal footing in the UK market," Bailey added.
