The company has appointed Emma Sakellaris as general manager of Australian Unity Trustees. She will be responsible for developing the business and forming a specialists unit to provide the services.

Prior to joining Australian Unity, Sakellaris worked at Equity Trustees and ANZ Trustees.

Also, Anna Hacker has joined Australian Unity as national manager of estate planning. Before joining the firm, she held various senior positions within the trustee industry, including at Equity Trustees.

Australian Unity group managing director Rohan Mead said: “Historically, these kinds of services have only been available to the wealthy, with most trustee companies focusing on high net worth families. However, Australian Unity has recently launched Australian Unity Trustees, a trustee company that will offer these services to all Australians.”
