Susan Axelrod Named FINRAs Executive Vice President of Regulatory Operations
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that Susan Axelrod will become FINRAs Executive Vice President of Regulatory Operations. In this role, Axelrod will oversee Enforcement, the Office of Fraud Detection and Market Intelligence and Member Regulation (Sales Practice, Risk Oversight and Operational Regulation and Shared Services). Axelrod previously was the head of FINRA’s Member Regulation Sales Practice area. Mike Rufino, Chief Operating Officer of Member Regulation Sales Practice, will assume the role of acting head of the Sales Practice group.

Morningstar Reports Hedge Fund Performance for March, Asset Flows Through February
Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN), a leading provider of independent investment research, today reported preliminary hedge fund performance for March 2013 as well as estimated asset flows through February. The Morningstar MSCI Composite Hedge Fund Index, an asset-weighted composite of nearly 1,000 hedge funds in the Morningstar Hedge Fund database, rose 1.5% in March and 4.0% in the first quarter of the year. Over the trailing twelve months, the index rose 7.2%.
