Schwager most recently served as the global head of private equity at Robeco and executive committee member at Robeco SAM.

He previously also served as a partner and executive board member at Partners Group and chairman of AIG Investment (Europe).

“The appointment of an executive with a broad international profile, over 20 years of experience and deep private equity industry knowledge highlights our continued commitment to growth in private assets. Schroder Adveq has a strong investment performance and I am confident that under Reto’s leadership our business will continue to grow internationally,” Mills said.

Earlier this year, Schroders acquired Swiss private equity solutions firm Adveq and rebranded it as Schroder Adveq.
