Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has bolstered its investment team in Guernsey by hiring Derek Beatty as executive director and senior portfolio manager.
He spent the last 11 years at Credit Suisse, where he was a member of the regional UK Investment Committee. Prior to his time in Guernsey, Beatty had spent three years in Credit Suisse’s London office.

Beatty has more than 14 years of investment experience, ten of which were spent at Credit Suisse in both London and Guernsey.
Beatty has over 14 years of investment industry experience including nine as a senior portfolio manager co-managing over $4bn of multi-manager client money.
He also has global experience having managed portfolios in Guernsey, London and Australia.
