London-based Neptune Investment Management is planning to launch a new private wealth business to offer discretionary service to HNW individuals.
The new unit, which will not offer financial planning, will be headed by Brewin Dolphin former head of research Matt Butcher. He will be joined by Rathbones private client investment manager James Cliff.

Butcher left Brewin in 2013, and teamed with Argonaut to launch SilverHill Consulting for wealth managers and fund groups.
Butcher and Cliff will be also joined by the firm’s deputy managing director Richard Green, who previously served as CEO at Barclays Private Bank. Green will join the two in planning phase.
Launch date of the new unit has not been announced.
