BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPP IP) has bolstered its business in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with the appointment of Ligia Torres as head of Asia-Pacific and emerging markets and Vincent Camerlynck as chief executive for Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Torres will be based in London and report to BNPP IP’s CEO Philippe Marchessaux.

Prior to this new role, Torres was head of UK operations for BNP Paribas Wealth Management and chairman of BNPP IP UK. She has 30 years of international experience in financial markets.
In his new role, Camerlynck will report to Torres and will be based in Hong Kong
Camerlynck has been based in Hong Kong since 2012, and was previously BNPP IP’s deputy CEO, APAC. Prior to his relocation to Hong Kong, he was based in London and was responsible for institutional sales globally.
BNPP IP manages 60 billion worth of assets in the APAC and emerging market space as of June, while its total assets under management are worth 478 billion.
