BNY Mellon Investment Management (BNY Mellon IM) has appointed Lindsay Wright as the head of distribution for its Asia Pacific (APAC) investment management business.

Based in Hong Kong, Wright will lead firm’s distribution efforts across financial institutions, governments, sovereign wealth funds and intermediaries in the region.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon IM, Wright worked as regional head of institutional, alternatives and investment solutions at Invesco. She has more than three decades of experience in senior leadership and distribution roles.

In addition, she will also act as co-head of APAC and will work together with chief product and operating officer Doni Shamsuddin, who was hired as co-head of APAC in January.

The duo will report to head of international distribution Matt Oomen.

Commenting on the appointment, Oomen said: "We are delighted to appoint Lindsay Wright as head of distribution and co-head of APAC, alongside Doni Shamsuddin."

Wright will support firm’s customers by providing tailored investment solutions in virtually every asset class, he added.

Further, the company has appointed Nicolas Kopitsis as intermediary distribution head of Asia, ex-Japan. He is currently based in Singapore, and will report to Wright.
