UBS Global Asset Management has named John Dugenske as global head of fixed income with immediate effect.

He is replacing Rob Gambi, who is leaving the firm after seven years.

Dugenske will become a member of the UBS Global Asset Management executive committee, reporting to John Fraser, chairman and CEO of UBS Global Asset Management.

Most recently, Dugenske served as head of North American fixed income for UBS Global Asset Management.

Prior to joining UBS Global Asset Management in 2009, Dugenske served as head of European and Middle East fixed income at the former asset management business of Lehman Brothers, where he also held global responsibility for the Cash Management business.

Fraser said: "Dugenske is a seasoned investor with more than 24 years working in fixed income. During his career, he has had responsibility for a wide range of investment portfolios across the fixed income spectrum as well as extensive experience working with a broad array of clients."
