SCBT announced that David Kirkpatrick has joined its Wealth Management Group as senior vice president and portfolio manager.
Brian Barker, senior vice president and senior portfolio manager for SCBT Wealth Management Group, said: "We are excited to have David join the SCBT Wealth Management team. His leadership and experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our asset management business in the Carolina’s and Georgia. His extensive knowledge of portfolio management combined with his ability to build lasting relationships will solidify David as an integral part of our wealth management team."

With over a decade of experience in the investment management industry, Kirkpatrick will focus primarily on portfolio management for the South Carolina markets of SCBT and First Federal.
Prior to joining SCBT, Kirkpatrick spent six years with a southeastern regional bank, most recently as vice president and portfolio manager in the South Carolina market.
Kirkpatrick attended The University of South Carolina where he earned undergraduate degrees in Finance and Marketing along with a Master in Business Administration. He is also a Certified Financial PlannerTM.
An active member of the community, Kirkpatrick is a member of the Columbia Estate Planning Council. He and his family are supporters of St. Lawrence Place and are members of Shandon Presbyterian Church where Kirkpatrick teaches youth Sunday school.
