BNY Mellon Asset Management International has roped in former Aviva Investors executive Heneg Parthenay as chief operating officer (COO) of its asset management division.

In his new role, Parthenay will be based in London and report to PeterPaul Pardi, chief executive of BNY Mellon Asset Management International and global head of distribution for BNY Mellon Investment Management, International Adviser reported.

Parthenay will be responsible to target specifically in developing and implementing strategy for the insurance channel, including consulting and liaising with industry participants, conducting market research and analysis, and assessing potential opportunities.

Parthenay will work alongside Pardi by supporting him in the management of the BNY Mellon Asset Management International business. He will also assist the firm’s strategic business development initiatives.

With 13 years of experience in insurance and asset management industry, he most recently served at Aviva Investors for eight years, latterly on the executive team.

Prior to this, he also worked in the insurance division of Renault.
