JP Morgan has named Blackrock’s former COO Henry Capra as new head of its custody and funds services for Australia and New Zealand.

In his new role, Capra will be succeeding Mark Kelley, who has held the current role since December 2011.

Additionally Capra will also oversee a regional role as the APAC head of custody and fund services, investor services based in Sydney, according to Financial Standard.

Capra said: "JP Morgan has been on a journey in recent years to better partner with our clients in meeting their immediate and future needs in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving market.

Kelley said: "Henry’s appointment further strengthens our investor services offering in this market as we commence the next phase of our business.

"We have made significant investments in our Australian franchise and as a global bank, we recognise the importance of this dynamic in the fast growing local market," he added.
