Invesco PowerShares has named Caroline Baron as new head of its UK exchange traded fund (ETF) business.
Baron has joined Invesco PowerShares from BlackRock’s ETF business, iShares, where she was responsible for selling iShares’ products to UK wealth managers, private banks and asset managers. She joined iShares in 2006, where he was in charge of sales to French institutional clients.

Prior to this, Baron has held roles at Credit Agricole Indosuez and IFX Markets.
Baron’s move comes as part of the firm’s strategy to expand its team in Europe.
Additionally, the firm has been offering a range of smart-beta ETFs as an alternative to traditional market-capitalization-weighted indexing.
