Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has hired Mark Guirey as new director for institutional business development in the UK.
Based in London, Guirey will report to Andy Wiggins, head of UK institutional at AllianzGI.

In his new role, Guirey will be responsible for expanding and managing Allianz GI’s client relationships in the UK.
Guirey has joined AllianzGI from Blackrock, where he worked for 13 years, most recently as a sales director within its institutional arm. Prior to this, he also worked at Rothschild Asset Management. He more than 15 years of industry experience.
Wiggins said: "Mark’s industry know-how will help us continue to build our reputation as an expert investment partner for UK institutional clients, combining global knowledge with local insight."
Guirey said: "Client relationships are critical to the success of our business. I’m looking forward to engaging with potential and existing investors, to understand their needs and how AllianzGI’s capabilities can help them achieve their investment goals".
