BRI Wealth Management is continuing its expansion by hiring Mark Speechly from Barclays.

Speechly has worked for 17 years at Barclays, most recently serving as vice president at Barclays Wealth Birmingham office.

Speechly stated his career in 1996 with Greg Middleton where he remained through a merger with Capel Cure Sharp which later formed Gerrard. Which was acquired by Barclays in 2004.

Last month, BRI Wealth Management acquired Shropshire-based Walter Financial Planning for an undisclosed sum.

Speechly said: "The reasons for my choice to join BRI are several: I like the client focussed culture, dedicated investment team, in-house chartered financial planning service and that BRI continue to welcome Advisory Managed clients."
