JP Morgan Asset Management, a division of JPMorgan Chase, has appointed Christoph von Reiche as new head of its institutional business in Europe.
Von Reiche earlier worked at JP Morgan’s counterpart Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) as a head of institutional business in Germany and Austria.

He will assume responsibilities of the newly created role at the fund management subsidiary and is expected to split his time between London and Frankfurt.
JP Morgan Asset Management said von Reiche’s experience would help the company respond to a growing desire from clients to invest in a broader range of asset classes, reported Reuters.
The appointment is in line with JP Morgan AM institutional business global head Mike O’Brien’s plans to build out the European business through the recruitment of a number of executives including James Peagam, European head of insurance solutions, former BlackRock executive, according to Bloomberg.
