BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named Jon Soto as new managing director of portfolio management for the Florida East region.
In his new role, Soto will manage all the portfolio management teams in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Miami, according to Bank Investment Consultant.

Additionally, he will also work with his counterparts on Florida’s West Coast to strengthen the firm’s client satisfaction and retention rates.
Soto, who joined BNY Mellon in 2008, has served as portfolio management team leader in Fort Lauderdale since 2012.
Soto has joined BNY Mellon from super-regional bank, where he served as senior vice president and managing director at its Miami-Dade County wealth management office.
Furthermore, the firm intends to recruit 15 more senior sales staff, portfolio managers, private bankers and support staff based in Southeast Florida by the end of 2014.
