AXA Wealth has overhauled its management team by appointing David Thompson, former managing director for Axa’s platform Elevate, as new managing director of business development and proposition.
As part of the restructuring, Nick Elphick, head of Axa Wealth’s specialist Sipp and onshore bond division, will step down from the firm after a spell of 28 years with the firm.

Elphick most recently worked as AXA Wealth’s chief operating officer.
Additionally, Dave Cheeseman will manage a commercial operations division looking after IT, operations and finance.
Axa Wealth is also planning to hire a new customer services director, Mike Shrimpton to serve new clients and broaden its relationships with existing customers.
