Charles Russell has appointed Nadia Kliarkina as a Counsel to the Geneva based team.
Nadia was previously Senior Counsel in the Geneva based International Legal Services team at Viterra, a leading global agribusiness.

Nadia brings to the Charles Russell team additional sector experience which complements the teams’ existing expertise and focuses, in particular, on oil and soft commodities, traders, as well as shipping, marine insurance and other international trade oriented business based in Switzerland and elsewhere.
Nadia is a dual UK and New York qualified lawyer specialising in all aspects of dry shipping and international trade law. Having trained with a specialist shipping and trade law firm in England she continued to develop her practice in that area of law post qualification, providing legal advice and assistance to multi-national trading and shipping companies worldwide on variety of issues relating to, amongst others, commercial contracts, joint venture agreements, sale and purchase agreements, general terms and conditions, financial documents (including ISDA master agreements and trade finance facilities). She has in-depth experience of charter parties and bills of lading contracts as well as marine insurance.
She has conducted numerous arbitrations in different forums, including the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, GAFTA, FOSFA, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce with seats in London, Geneva, Paris and Stockholm, as well as mediations in London and Geneva and English High Court litigations.
Nadia is a native Russian speaker. She moved to Geneva in 2008 where she continued to specialise in shipping and international trade law, working, in particular, with Russian speaking clients.
