The law firm may also advise on wine, art and boat purchases depending on the ¬client demands.

It has appointed immigration law partner Rita Chowdhury, who formed her own practice early in 2014, after having earlier headed the corporate and private client immigration practices at Deloitte and at Baker & McKenzie.

Margaret Robertson, managing director of Withers, said, "This alliance represents a huge step forward in the development of Withers’ international footprint. Australia offers a great range of opportunities for Withers, not just as a stand-alone market for successful people, but also as an integral part of the regional Asia-Pacific market."
