Law firm Withers has added three lawyers Connie Yik Kong, Suzanne Johnston and Karen Lai to its wealth planning practice in Asia.

The moves come in response to growing demand by Asia’s high net worth individuals (HNWIs) for Withers’ wealth planning services.

Based in the Singapore office, Johnston and Yik Kong will assist rich individuals and families with sophisticated wealth planning solutions, including international estate planning and tax planning.

Johnston, who has relocated from London in July, has previously advised her clients on trust structures, tax planning, property structuring, estate planning and immigration issues, while Kong, who moved from New York in September, has supported clients with their tax planning, estate planning and administration.

Additionally, Karen Lai has relocated to Hong Kong from London in October to focus on trust structures tax and succession planning for families, as well as in trustees and charities matters.

Withers’ wealth planning practice in Asia currently has 16 lawyers.
