Wilmington Trust has appointed Salma Haikal as the new senior private client advisor and Julie Barron as senior private banker for its Boston Wealth Advisory office.

In her new role, Haikal will be responsible for offering wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and foundations as well as endowments across Boston.

Haikal has an almost two decade long career in personal financial services to ultra-high-net-worth families and their advisors.

She most recently served as senior vice president at US Trust Private Wealth Management.

She also served at Bank of Boston, where she was responsible for offering financial and credit solutions to wealthy families in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Europe, and the Middle East.

Barron will be tasked with catering to the financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners throughout New England in her new capacity.

Barron previously served in senior roles at Fiduciary Trust and JP Morgan Private Bank, where she focused on private banking, business development, and wealth management in the ultra-high-net-worth segment.

She also held the position of senior vice president at Brown Brothers Harriman in the banking and M&A advisory group, and the investor services division.

Besides, she served a 17-year stint at Citizens Bank, holding roles including division executive and group head for private banking, along with other leadership roles in corporate and middle market banking.
