Willis Ireland has completed acquisition of IFG Group’s several Irish pension and financial advisory businesses, and has also secured the required regulatory approvals.
The acquired companies include IFG Pensco, a pensions consultancy and administration business; Retirement Strategies and IFG Private Clients, both financial advisory firms; Planlife Trustee Services, a professional trustee company, and Trade Credit Brokers, a trade credit broking business.

Following the acquisition, over 100 IFG Ireland employees will move to Willis Ireland.
The acquisition will help enhance Willis Ireland’s existing pensions business and its financial and wealth-planning services to individuals.
Gary Owens, managing director of the combined Pension and Human Capital and Benefits business of Willis Ireland, and formerly group director of IFG and CEO of IFG Ireland, said, "The combined business will have the global strength and local expertise to provide fresh solutions for customers in both the defined benefit and contribution markets."
