Whitebox Advisors, an asset management company with more than US$2.8 billion in AUM, has appointed Peter Hommeyer as new product specialist.
In his new role, Hommeyer will be responsible for managing Whitebox’s portfolios intimately and technically to represent the work of the firm’s portfolio managers and Investment Committee with clients and prospective clients.

Prior to joining Whitebox, Hommeyer, with over 20 years of industry experience, most recently served as principal for Holland Street, a New York City-based consulting service for alternative investors and managers.
Earlier to this, Hommeyer served as director of research and managing director at Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors, where he led the firm’s research and investments into hedge funds and other alternative investments. He also served as a portfolio manager for Cadogan Management in addition to trader and portfolio manager for several European firms in London and Vienna.
