Whitebox Advisors announced the addition of Jon Olstein as a managing director for strategic relationships based in the New York/Tri-state area.
Mr. Olstein will be responsible for building strategic relationships and delivering exceptional customer service for Whitebox’s clients around the world.

Olstein joins Whitebox with decades of experience in a variety of aspects of the financial profession, including marketing, investor relations and trading. In his most recent role, Olstein served as director of business development for Waterstone Capital Management where he was responsible for global sales and investor relations, as well as developing and executing the firm’s marketing plans across investor bases.
Prior to Waterstone, Olstein served as director in the Hedge Fund Capital Group at Deutsche Bank where he acted as a liaison between multiple global hedge funds and prospective investors, consulted with funds on their marketing and investor relations capabilities, as well as managed a team that covered investors located all over North and South America. Earlier in his career, Olstein held trading positions at Victoire Capital, LLC, as well as PaineWebber.
