Richard will join WH Ireland with effect from 18 September 2012 and will succeed John Scott who will be returning to managing his private client portfolios.
Meanwhile, John will continue as an executive director on the WH Ireland board.

Richard began his career at Cazenove Partners in 1984 before joining Morgan Grenfell. And in 1994 he had moved to Singer & Friedlander Investment Management where he spent just over 11 years in a number of roles including chief investment officer and CEO of their investment management business.
Further, Richard has held senior management positions at Close Brothers Asset Management as head of HNW business, and Credit Suisse as a managing director within its UK Private Banking business.
