Sonnenberg is a veteran having more than 15-year industry experience and has joined Wells in the Washington, DC area.
At Wells Fargo he will be based as a portfolio manager and head of investment management in the region.

Previously, Sonnenberg had chaired the investment committee at Fortigent, a wealth management firm that LPL Financial had acquired earlier 2012.
And prior to that, he was the managing director of equity investments at Lydian Wealth Management and a senior analyst with CMS Financial Services.
He had joined Abbot Downing, which is the newly branded UHNW wealth management unit that Wells had launched in April 2012 after combining its family wealth unit and Lowry Hill boutique subsidiary.
The Abbot Downing unit caters to individuals and families having US$50 million or more in investable assets and has a total US$30.5 billion in client AUM.
