Wells Fargo Advisors has snapped three advisors from Morgan Stanley and UBS Wealth Management Americas who previously managed $365m in combined client assets.
The team, which includes Dennis Shapses and David Cuellar, has joined the firm’s office in Palo Alto, California in November last year.

The team previously managed $240m in assets at Morgan Stanley since 2009.
Shapses, who has been in the industry for 21 years, started his career at Dean Witter and later worked at UBS and Smith Barney. Cuellar began his career at F.N. Wolf & Co. in 1990 and then worked at Merrill Lynch, UBS and Smith Barney.
In addition, Wells Fargo has hired Shahmir Moussavi, from UBS, who managed more than $125m in client assets.
Moussavi , who joined UBS in 2008, started his career in 1994 at McLaughlin, Piven, Vogel Securities and later moved to Smith Barney in 2005. He has 16 years of industry experience.
