UK-based Towry has restructured its management team following its acquisition of Baker Tilly’s financial management arm.
As part of the restructuring, Baker Tilly Financial Management chief John White will quit by the end of June.

In addition, John Porteous, former Baker Tilly head of wealth management, will replace Towry head of client proposition David Middleton. He will also sit on the executive team.
Other changes include departures of the head of financial management operations Mike Toole, and Baker Tily head of compliance Charles Haygarth.
Meanwhile, Garry Appleton has been appointed to Towry’s executive committee, subject to regulatory approvals. Appleton will also assume the role of head of risk and compliance from Alec Macallan.
