Italian online wealth manager MoneyFarm has hired Michele Battelli as chief product officer to spearhead its product development in the UK savings and investment market.

In his new role, Battelli will help MoneyFarm roll out a new ISA proposition in the UK in 2016.

The new ISA product aims to offer high quality investment returns, underpinned by low cost investments such as exchange traded funds.

Battelli joined MoneyFarm from Google in California, where he worked as a senior technical program manager.

Battelli’s hire follows the appointment former CTO of Last.fm, David Jeffrey, as new chief technology officer at MoneyFarm.

Battelli and Jeffrey will work together to develop ‘mobile first’ approach for investors.
