British wealth manager Brown Shipley has named its current deputy CIO Don Smith as new CIO, replacing Kevin Doran.
Doran, whose appointment is effective 1 April 2016, will join Brown Shipley’s parent firm KBL European Private Bankers as research and strategy group head.

Additionally, the firm’s senior fund manager and head of structured products Alex Brandreth will take over Smith’s responsibilities as deputy CIO
Smith and Brandreth will work alongside Doran in their new roles.
Smith joined Brown Shipley in October 2015 from broker firm ICAP, while Brandreth started his career at Brown Shipley as a research analyst in 2010.
