Waverton Investment Management has named William Tong as new business development manager for its managed funds service team.
Tong will be tasked with developing relationships with financial advisers across the UK, working alongside the firm’s marketing director Mark Barrington.

He previously served at Charles Stanley, which he joined in 2011 after the firm bought his previous employer Evercore.
At Charles Stanley, he managed intermediary sales across London.
Prior to that, he served at Towry Law, initially in the private client team and later in the change team as the firm readied for the retail distribution review.
Referring to Tong, Waverton head of managed funds service John Bellamy remarked: "We are delighted that William has joined Waverton. He has significant experience of working alongside financial advisers and supporting them in the delivery of investment solutions to their clients."
