Walkers, a Cayman Islands based offshore law firm which provides legal services to investment fund managers, has appointed Mark Cummings as counsel in its Investment Funds Group in Hong Kong office.

The Investment Funds and Corporate team provides advice on mutual and hedge funds, private equity funds and unit trusts, as well as mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, take-privates and public offerings of shares of offshore companies.

Prior to joining Walkers, Cummings worked at Appleby Global and has experience in advising on the laws of the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, with regard to structuring and establishing investment funds, both private equity and hedge funds.

Cummings has been practicing offshore since 2007, having spent a couple of years based in the Cayman Islands before moving to Asia.
