British Wealth manager Walker Crips is set to launch a new office in Southampton to expand its financial planning business.

Walker Crips Wealth Management managing director Dominic Martin remarked that the opening of Southampton office is continuation of the firm’s ambitious growth plans in the financial planning market.

As part of the development, the company has appointed Nick Lee and Charles Cavendish to its new office as regional director and associate director, respectively.

Lee has over three decades of experience in the industry including 20 years at Grant Thornton and three years at Gallagher/Argentis.

As regional director of the Southampton office, Lee will oversee the growth of the wealth management division. He will also advise HNW private clients and trustees, with a focus on tax-efficient investment planning and estate planning.

Cavendish joins Southampton financial planning division from Gallagher/Argentis, with more than 10 years of experience in advising at various national IFA practices.

In his new role, Cavendish will work with various trustees and HNW clients, specialising in estate planning, pensions, and investment advice.

Walker Crips has also added Kris Watts as paraplanner and Jasmine Ng as wealth administrator to its new regional office.

Commenting on the appointments, Martin said: “The Walker Crips Wealth Management Division is going from strength to strength and we’re excited to welcome Nick, Charles, Kris and Jasmine to our new Southampton office.”
