Swiss asset and wealth manager Vontobel Holding has reported that its client assets reached CHF180.3bn for the third quarter ended 30 September 2014, an increase of 4% compared to the end of June 2014.

The group’s assets under management grew by 6% for the third quarter driven by an inflow of new money of over CHF2bn and positive performance as well as currency effects.
The asset management division of Vontobel has reported that its asset base increased by 12% in the year to date, including 4% in the first half of 2014.
The bank said that its private banking unit is developing as planned with the focused pursuit of its organic growth path and the corresponding investments in the business.
The external asset managers (EAMs) business of Vontobel reported volume of assets under management totaling CHF7.6bn.

By GlobalDataIn addition, Vontobel has generated an operating income of CHF221m in the third quarter of 2014, up by 9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
"Vontobel expects to deliver a solid result for the full year 2014 and currently anticipates that it will slightly exceed the result for the previous year," the bank said in a statement.
